FC Cincinnati fans can begin planning for the 2022 season after Major League Soccer on Monday announced the schedule of home openers for every club.

FCC will start its second season at TQL Stadium March 5 against D.C. United.

The home opener follows a season-opening trip to play Austin FC on Feb. 26 at Q2 Stadium.

The meeting with D.C. United will be FC Cincinnati's sixth since entering the league in 2019. The club is 0-2-3 against United.

The game against Austin will be a franchise-first for Cincinnati as the two clubs didn't meet in 2021.

Austin finished its first year in MLS with a 9-21-4 record, and it avoided last place in the Western Conference by a point.

As of Monday, the 2022 season was just 96 days away for FCC. While details regarding the club's preseason activities are yet to be announced, it's expected the preseason will begin in mid-January.
