NFL Draft 2022: Eagles’ 1st-round pick tracker | Latest on Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins following Week 11

The Eagles are making a push towards the playoffs, and while that’s important for head coach Nick Sirianni’s immediate future, posting the first two-game winning streak of the season has chipped away at next year’s draft outlook.

The Eagles, Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts all won in Week 11. So, the Eagles’ two locked-in first-round picks — their own and the Dolphins’ selection — have been pushed down the pecking order. The Colts’ first-round pick, which could go to the Eagles by season’s end, also fell down the board with Indianapolis’ latest victory.

That said, the Eagles inched closer to obtaining the Colts’ first-round pick, as quarterback Carson Wentz played 90% of the offensive snaps against the Buffalo Bills.

The latest on the Eagles’ pick ...

The Eagles are 5-6 following their 40-29 win over the Saints. They are firmly in the playoff hunt and own tie-breakers over multiple contenders with six matchups left on the season. The Eagles only face one more team with a winning record this season.

Anyway, Eagles fans hoping for a top-10 pick are probably running out of luck, as Philadelphia continues to find momentum during the second half of the season. As of now, the Eagles are positioned to pick 11th overall, according to Tankathon.

The latest on the Dolphins’ pick ...

The Dolphins played well against the inferior Jets on Sunday, producing a 24-17 win. While the Dolphins still aren’t in the playoff hunt, their first-round pick is starting to get pushed down the board.

According to Tankathon, the Dolphins, at 4-7, are set to pick eighth overall in next year’s draft.

The latest on the Colts’ pick and Carson Wentz ...

The Colts dominated the Buffalo Bills, 41-15, on Sunday. While Wentz only threw 20 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown, running back Jonathan Taylor anchored the Colts’ offense with 185 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Wentz played 90% of the offensive snaps against the Bills and has played roughly 98% of the snaps this season.

The Eagles can obtain the Colts’ first-round pick in one of two ways:

- Wentz plays 75% of the offensive snaps this season

- Wentz plays 70% of the offensive snaps this season and the Colts make the playoffs

At this rate, the Eagles just need Wentz to play the next two full games to essentially lock up Indianapolis’ first-round pick, even without a playoff berth. Even if Wentz needs to play a bit more than that, the Colts are clearly not going to bench their franchise quarterback this season.

According to Tankathon, the Colts, at 6-5, are currently positioned with the 16th overall pick in the first round.

An update on the Jets’ conditional pick involving Joe Flacco ...

After serving as a clipboard holder for his first three weeks with the Jets, Joe Flacco played 100% of the Jets’ offensive snaps in the 24-17 loss to the Dolphins. Flacco put up 291 yards and two touchdowns in the loss and didn’t turn the ball over. If rookie Zach Wilson continues to be sidelined due to injury, Flacco could get another start or two.

The Jets traded a conditional sixth-round pick to the Eagles to acquire Flacco last month. That pick can turn into a fifth-round selection if Flacco plays 50% of the offensive snaps in four games this season. The Jets have seven more games, and Flacco has reached that benchmark once.

Here’s a look at the Eagles’ 10 2022 draft picks as they stand now:

First Round (2)

- Eagles’ own pick

- Dolphins’ pick (acquired in pre-draft trade back to the 12th overall pick)

Second Round (2)

- Eagles’ own pick

- Colts’ pick (acquired in the trade for QB Carson Wentz)*

* The Colts’ second-round pick can turn into a first-round pick if Wentz plays 75% of the offensive snaps this season, or plays 70% of the offensive snaps and the Colts make the playoffs.

Third Round (1)

- Eagles’ own pick

Fourth Round (1)

- Eagles’ own pick

Fifth Round (3)

- Eagles own pick*

- Washington’s pick (acquired in a Day 3 pick swap)

- Cardinals’ pick (acquired in Zach Ertz trade)

* While the Eagles traded their sixth-round pick to the Jaguars for Gardner Minshew, the pick can be enhanced to a fifth-round pick if Minshew plays 50% of the offensive snaps in three or more games this season. The Eagles would then swap out their sixth-round pick for a fifth-round pick.

Sixth Round (1)

- Buccaneers’ pick via Jets (can become a fifth-round pick based if Joe Flacco plays 50% of the Jets’ offensive snaps in four games)

- Eagles traded their own pick to Jaguars

- The Eagles traded the Colts’ pick (acquired in the swap for OT Matt Pryor) to the Denver Broncos for CB Kary Vincent.*

*The Eagles will send the lower of their two sixth-round picks to the Broncos. However, since the Buccaneers pick is conditional already -- linked to Flacco’s playing time -- the Eagles have sent the Colts to Denver for now.

Seventh Round (0)

- Eagles traded this pick to the Colts (with Pryor)
