Local nonprofit Greenbrier Valley Pride will be hosting its Website Launch Party and Fundraiser Nov. 20 at Cross Creek on Main in White Sulphur Springs. The party is the organization’s first official event since the successful Pride Parade and Festival June 29. Guests will be treated to local DJs, drag queens, and live music at the fundraiser. Drag queens Dyla Ride, Empress Destiny B. Childs, Apara Lashes, and Madison Monroe will take over the event from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m.
“As a former Miss Ohio Valley Pride, Miss WV Pride, and the current Miss Beckley Pride, I have more pride than room full of glitter farting unicorns,” Madison Monroe says. “So come let me do what I do best and entertain you!”
Tickets are available now for anyone who wants to attend the show at Eventbrite. VIP guests who reserve tables will be treated to a meet and greet with the queens as well as other perks. Single tickets are available. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the party will last until 11:00 p.m.
“It’s gonna be a hoot and a half! Not only will we have drag queens, but local band Ma’am and DJ Lord Gnord. Proceeds from this event will help us pay fees related to establishing Greenbrier Valley Pride as a 501(c)(3),” Kelsie Tyson, president of Greenbrier Valley Pride says. “Having this event is a reminder that pride is not just in June, but year round. Queer people exist 24/7!”
