Today

Monday Overview Wind Highs Today Nnw BrzLows Tonigh

There will not be very many days this week that see much cloud cover. In fact, today will likely be the cloudiest day we have all week in Middle GA and it won’t even be cloudy all day. Rain came with the cold front early with many locations around the region beginning to see it ahead of the sunrise. The light rain persisted through the sunrise hours as the cold front continued to push southeast. The effects of the cold front will begin to be felt today as strong winds from the northwest (10-15 mph G 20+) will stick around through the afternoon hours. High temperatures will be on the warmer side compared to most of the week, topping off in the mid to upper 60s. Sunshine will return for most of Middle Georgia by the late lunchtime hours with the clear conditions sticking around through tonight. Low temperatures will approach the freezing point with a couple of locations reaching or dropping below it. Winds overnight will blow out of the north-northwest at about 7-12 mph.

Tomorrow and Wednesday

Tuesday will be the coolest day of the week as temperatures only warm into the mid to upper 50s. Wind will continue to blow out of the north, this time from the north-northeast at around 5 mph. Skies will stay clear throughout the day with cloud cover remaining at a minimum through the overnight hours. It might be a good idea to drip your faucets tomorrow night with low temperatures dropping below freezing for most of the region.

High

Wednesday will see the wind return to the south a bit with an east-southeast flow at around 5 mph. A few clouds will return to the Georgia skies to accompany the southerly flow thanks to added moisture. High temperatures around Middle GA will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Rain chances will remain at zero through Wednesday afternoon as the next system begins to develop over the eastern plains. Low temperatures heading into Thanksgiving will again hover around the freezing point.

Plz Dont Rain On Thanksgiving Thanks

If Monday is the cloudiest day of the week, the next cloudiest will be Thanksgiving. There will still be plenty of sunshine, however cloud cover will accrue during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be the second warmest we see this week behind Monday as well with high temperatures returning to the mid to upper 60s. Rain chances do remain slim on Thanksgiving with most of it likely to hit northern GA. A few stray showers during the late evening and early overnight hours will still be possible as the next cold front pushes through, however. Cooler conditions will return on Friday.
