Jets are 0-10 vs. AFC East over last 2 seasons

The Jets have had a tight hold on the bottom of the AFC East over the past two seasons, and their record against division rivals is a huge reason why.

With Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the Dolphins, New York is now 0-10 against AFC East opponents over the last two years. They are the only NFL team without a win in their division over that span, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

As one can surmise from that stat, Gang Green went winless in six games against the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots in Adam Gase’s final season at the helm. That 2020 team went 2-14 overall.

Robert Saleh has not fared any better this season, as his 2-8 Jets have lost two games to New England and one apiece to Miami and Buffalo so far. But Saleh and his squad still have to play the Dolphins and Bills one more time, giving them two more chances to grab an AFC East win before the 2022 season.

If New York wants to snap its lousy divisional streak, it will have to do so on the road. The Jets will visit South Florida in Week 15 before ending their season in Western New York in Week 17.
