Meri Brown Urges Sister Wife Christine Not To 'Give Up' On Marriage To Kody During Season 16 Premiere
After Christine Brown announced that she was leaving Kody Brown earlier this month, the new season of Sister Wives has filled in some of the blanks regarding the split.
During the season 16 premiere, which aired on Sunday, November 21, Christine made it clear she was unsure about her future with her husband.
Christine privately told Meri that she couldn't "do marriage with Kody anymore." However, Kody's first wife suggested that Christine shouldn't "give up" on her marriage so soon.
"You didn't put 30 years into this — 25, 28, wherever you are — to walk away," Meri told Christine. "I didn't put 30 years in to walk away."
Kody and Meri's relationship has been strained for several years now after the 50-year-old's catfishing scandal in 2015. The reality star fell for a man named Sam, whom she met online, but later learned she had been catfished. Meri and Kody also divorced so he could marry Robyn.

During the episode, Christine seemed uninterested while the family was taking a tour of their Coyote Pass property, where they planned on building homes beside each other. "Honestly, I'm not excited to move onto this property," she said in a confessional. "But we are [doing it], so I'd like to be excited about this property. I just have to talk myself into staying constantly now instead of just walking away."
"None of my kids are going to stay in Flagstaff. They've all expressed no desire to live here whatsoever," Christine said. "They're all going to settle in Utah, ironically enough."
Christine and Kody share children Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.
"Christine is upset. I understand it," Robyn said in a confessional, according to PEOPLE. "It's scary, it's been absolutely scary, what our family culture is looking like because we are not spending time together."
"After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave," the mother-of-six announced on Instagram on Tuesday, November 2. "We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family."
At the time, Kody said that the Hand Raised: The Barns of Montana author's decision to leave "comes with a great deal of sadness." "We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents," he shared in a statement.
As previously reported by OK!, earlier this month, Christine announced on her LuLaRoe Facebook group that the split was documented and told fans that "most of your questions will be answered on our episodes."
