Seattle Kraken release hilarious tribute video for former, week-long goaltender Vitek Vanecek

The Seattle Kraken remember their time with Vitek Vanecek fondly, even if it was only for a short amount of time.

On Sunday, the Kraken and the Washington Capitals met for the first time in Seattle. Though the two teams hadn't played until Sunday, the franchises did have history with one another.

Back in the summer, the Kraken selected goaltender Vanecek from the Capitals in the expansion draft. A week later, however, the Kraken traded Vanecek back to the Capitals in a hilarious turn of fate, one which both teams had a fun time making light of after the fact.

On Sunday, Vanecek made his Seattle debut ... for the Capitals as the team's starting goaltender for the game! A moment in which the Kraken recognized with a hilarious - and short! - tribute video.

Many were hoping the Kraken would release a tribute video for Vanecek, and Seattle went above and beyond for the meme here, which I absolutely respect. At least Kraken continue to kill it from a branding standpoint, as the team itself isn't doing so hot.
