Silk Sonic's 'An Evening With Silk Sonic' Debuts at No. 2 on Billboard 200

Silk Sonic, the powerduo of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, is opening this week’s Billboard 200 at No. 2 with An Evening With Silk Sonic.

The Bootsy Collins-hosted debut album earned a total of 104,000 equivalent album units, including 60,000 in streaming equivalent album units (82.6 million on-demand streams of the album’s nine tracks), 42,000 in album sales and 2,000 in track equivalent album units. An Evening With Silk Sonic marks .Paak’s highest-charting album so far and the fourth top 10 entry for Mars, with his previous three albums hitting the top three.

Other new entries in this week’s top 10 are Taylor Swift with her new version of Red at No. 1, K-pop group TWICE’s Formula of Love: O+T=<3 at No. 3 and Jason Aldean’s Macon at No. 8.

Elsewhere on the chart, Summer Walker moves down to No. 4 followed by Drake at No. 5. Making up the bottom half of this week’s top 10 are Morgan Wallen, Ed Sheeran, Kanye West and Doja Cat.

Elsewhere in music, Freddie Gibbs x Jadakiss, Earl Sweatshirt and Isaiah Rashad lead the week’s Best New Tracks.
