BTS and Coldplay took the stage together at the 2021 American Music Awards this evening (November 21) for the inaugural live rendition of their joint single “My Universe.” The performance took place shortly before BTS won Favorite Pop Duo or Group. The group also won Artist of the Year. Check out the performance below.

BTS also performed “Butter,” which won Favorite Pop Song earlier in the night. Megan Thee Stallion was scheduled to join BTS for their performance of “Butter” at tonight’s Cardi B-hosted event, but she had to pull out of the show “due to an unexpected personal matter,” as she tweeted yesterday. Megan Thee Stallion won two AMA trophies this year: Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album (for Good News).

“My Universe” appears on Coldplay’s latest album Music of the Spheres. The single received a sci-fi music video directed by Dave Meyers following its initial release.
