Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. United States Champion Damian Priest was booked at this year’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Nakmura got the early advantage. Priest fought back with a powerslam then a back elbow. Nakamura caught him with a kick, but when he came off the top rope, Priest hit him with a spinning kick. Nakamura went for his finisher, but Priest rolled him up for 2.
Priest with a big boot. Nakamura with some knee strikes for a near fall. Priest with a chokeslam for 2. They traded some submission holds. Priest caught him in a triangle choke and Nakamura was about to pass out, but Rick started playing the guitar to wake him up. Priest broke the guitar then hit Rick with it. Priest hit Nakamura with the guitar as well for the DQ.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura via DQ.
