Leading into Thanksgiving week, plenty of teams believe in seconds.

That's because the Jets, Giants and Eagles each currently hold an extra first-round pick and are ready to head back to the NFL Draft table for a second serving of top-tier prospects.

The plus side for teams like the Jets and the Giants: Those first-round picks sit inside the top 10, with Gang Green currently holding the No. 2 overall selection, just as they did in 2021.

For the Giants, it could be a new general manager making those picks, if they continue to scuffle and slide in a disappointing sub-.500 season. Sitting at 3-6 entering a "Monday Night Football" matchup with the defending champ Buccaneers, things could turn further south in a hurry if New York doesn't build on its recent winning ways.

Here's the latest draft order

Notes:

— The Eagles currently hold the No. 5 overall selection, traded to them from the Dolphins as part of a predraft deal.

— The Giants currently hold the Bears' first-round pick, which was sent as part of an in-draft trade Chicago made to select quarterback Justin Fields in 2021.

— The Dolphins currently hold the 49ers' first-round pick as part of a predraft trade. San Francisco selected quarterback Trey Lance at No. 3 overall.

— The Jets currently hold the Seahawks' first-round pick as part of the Jamal Adams trade in 2020.

— The Eagles currently hold the Colts' first-round pick as part of the Carson Wentz trade. (In order for the pick to turn into a first-rounder, Wentz must play ≥75 percent of snaps this year OR Wentz plays ≥70 percent of snaps and Indianapolis makes the playoffs.)

— Pick Nos. 19 through 32 are held by teams currently in the NFL playoff picture.

While there's no surefire top quarterback prospect entering the 2022 NFL Draft, there is a franchise-altering player; Oregon defensive end Kavon Thibodeaux, who's spoken of in the same vein as another No. 1 overall pass-rusher, Myles Garrett.

There's an intriguing crop of quarterbacks who could wind up as first-round selections, including Liberty's Malik Willis, Mississippi's Matt Corral and Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett. While anything can happen between now and next April, Spencer Rattler and Sam Howell have seen their draft stock take a hit in 2021.

In addition to Thibodeaux, Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson and Purdue's George Karlaftis could be solid consolation prizes for teams looking for a solid pass-rushing presence in the immediate term.

LSU cornerback Derek Stingley could be the first defensive back off the board in a draft that could be a little lighter on playmaking DBs.
