Lamar Jackson missed the Baltimore Ravens' Week 11 game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday due to an undisclosed illness. According to his teammate, though, there was never a chance he would have played considering his condition heading to the contest.

The Ravens' star QB was initially listed as questionable, and he flew to Chicago in an attempt to still suit up for the team. However, he was eventually ruled out, with Ian Rapoport of NFL Network noting that he's “dealing with a virus so bad that he's simply not himself.” For what t's worth, it's reportedly not a flu or a COVID-19 illness.

Now according to Baltimore cornerback Marlon Humphrey, he knew Jackson wouldn't be able to play when they were in flight going to Chicago after he saw the QB curled up in a ball.

“I looked over and I said, I don’t think this guy is going to play,” Humphrey said, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

It is still unknown what type of illness Lamar Jackson has been dealing with, but one thing is for sure: it is serious enough to force a healthy and athletic player like Jackson to sit out a game.

Fortunately for the Ravens, they didn't need Jackson to take down the hapless Bears. Baltimore secured a tough 16-13 win to move to 7-3 on the season and retain the top spot in the AFC North division.
