Megan Thee Stallion has dropped out of the 2021 American Music Awards and won’t be performing alongside BTS anymore.

The rapper shared the news on social media, revealing she had to drop out due to “an unexpected personal matter.”

“I’m so sad! I really can’t wait to hit the stage with my guys and perform #BTS_Butter real soon!” she wrote on Twitter.

It was set to be a big performance – Megan Thee Stallion and BTS were due to debut their collaborative remix version of the latter’s hit single ‘Butter’ for the first time. After a battle with her label, she was allowed to add her own verse to ‘Butter’.

In other Megan news, it was announced earlier in November that Tory Lanez won’t be offered a plea deal in the felony assault case in which he allegedly shot the rapper in 2020. After the incident in July 2020, she revealed on Instagram Live that Lanez was the person who had shot her.
