Will Ryan, the notable Disney voice actor and songwriter, has passed away.
According to Deadline, he passed at the age of 72 after a brief battle with cancer.
Will Ryan has taken on a number of notable roles for Disney, being the longtime voices of Peg-Leg Pete and Willie Giant, who appear as the Ghost of Christmas Future and the Ghost of Christmas Present in Mickey’s Christmas Carol respectively. He’s also known for playing over 100 roles during his 34 years on the radio series Adventures in Odyssey.
Along with a wide range of voice acting roles, Will Ryan is known for writing three books, including a memoir Duke and Me, writing songs for Disney, the Pointer Sisters, and Patti LaBelle, and being president of the international animation organization ASIFA, known for running the Annie Awards.
