Netflix Has Renewed The LEAGUE OF LEGENDS Animated Series ARCANE For Season 2!
Netflix and Riot Games’ League of Legends animated series Arcane might just be one of my favorite forms of entertainment that has been released this year. This is a hell of a great show that tells a fantastic story and features some visually awesome animation! If you haven’t watched it yet you need to do that now! The complete nine episode series is now available on Netflix.
I’m extremely excited to report that Netflix and Riot Games will be giving us a second season! It’s official! While there are no details on what Season 2 will entail, Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell and Katie Leung have all been confirmed to reprise their respective voice roles of Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn Kiramman.
Series co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee said in a statement, “We’re beyond happy about the positive response to ‘Arcane’s’ first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and [French animation studio] Fortiche to deliver our second installment.”
The series is set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, and the story follows the “origins of two iconic League champions-and the power that will tear them apart.” Those two characters are Vi and Jinx, sisters who find themselves at odds after a series of tragic and unfortunate events.
The second season of Arcane will be executed produced by Linke, alongside Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung and Thomas Vu. No release date has been announced.
