USA TODAY Sports' Week 11 NFL picks: Dallas Cowboys or Kansas City Chiefs in battle of first-place teams?

Nate Davis
USA TODAY

Sunday will mark the first on-field battle between Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott and Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes as the Chiefs host the Cowboys at Arrowhead Stadium in a battle of first-place teams that highlights the NFL's Week 11 menu.

Dallas comes off of its first 40-point win in two decades, while the Chiefs have reeled off three consecutive wins to reclaim the top spot in a tight AFC West race.

This could be the start of a rough stretch for the Cowboys, who have a quick turnaround when they host their annual Thanksgiving game (against the Las Vegas Raiders) but then don't play at home again until after Christmas.

Kansas City's bye encompasses Turkey Day, but the Chiefs aren't currently scheduled to face any sub-.500 opponents on the other side of their mini-break. With little margin for error, this game could be crucial for them.
