Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure from Manchester United was confirmed on Sunday morning, and further details are emerging regarding the details of his ill-fated tenure in charge.
The Manchester Evening News reports that a list of platitudes was hung on the wall of Solskjaer's office, with the pick of these being: "Go and do your magic."
The unfortunate irony being there was very little "magic" in recent months, as United slipped to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Watford on Saturday which ultimately marked the end of the Norwegian's spell in charge.

Among the other platitudes included: "Simple and efficient," "Do the simple things well and with pride", "Go and do your magic" and "Play for the Team," which were written across the pitch diagrams. Meanwhile, "TAKE PRIDE in being the BEST YOU" was underlined.
Solskjaer was reportedly a well-liked figure in the dressing room, but many players came to the conclusion that he was no longer up to the job.
The Norwegian held his hand up in an apologetic manner to the United fans which travelled to Hertfordshire following that aforementioned defeat to Watford, indicating that the end was nigh.

The Red Devils now face another huge rebuilding job on their journey to challenge for top honours once again.
The FA Cup and Champions League remain the only two realistic prospects for silverware this season, but their performances in the latter competition have been largely unconvincing, as they seek progression from a relatively kind group.
Michael Carrick will be in charge of United's next match against Villarreal on Tuesday night, before a daunting trip to Chelsea a week today.
