Gary Neville made a heartfelt tribute to departing Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Twitter this morning.
Solskjaer's departure was confirmed in a statement made by the club this morning following a 4-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday - the final straw for the Norwegian following a torrid start to the season.
The result was United's fifth defeat in their last seven Premier League games and left them 11 points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.

It ends almost a three-year spell in charge of the club after initially taking the role on an interim basis in December 2018, before securing the job on a permanent basis in March 2019.
Neville played alongside Solskjaer for 11 years at the club, and paid tribute to the work which the man affectionately known as the "baby-faced-assassin" had done at Old Trafford.

He said: "Thank you Ole. You did us proud . The last two months were tough but before that you restored some soul into the club," followed by a red love heart emoji.
It looked like Solskjaer knew his days in the job were numbered after raising his hand in an apologetic manner to the travelling United fans at Vicarage Road yesterday, and widespread speculation soon followed that the 48-year-old could be out of job within the following 24 hours.
Former United captain Neville has always been supportive of Solskjaer in the job, with the club securing more respectable third and second-place finishes in each of the past two Premier League seasons.
The legendary United right-back continued to stand by his former teammate despite the alarming downturn in results, but it appears that the good will surrounding Solskjaer could only take him so far before a change was made.

For now, Michael Carrick will take charge of the side - starting with a crucial Champions League clash away at Villarreal on Tuesday night.
The club are set to appoint an interim manager to hold the post until the end of the season.
