Another clean sheet, and another superb performance from the Ugandan. He was not overly tested, but made some important saves, especially the one from Taahir Goedeman in the 70th minute. Onyango looked solid and composed when tested with crosses and corners and set the tone for a settled defensive afternoon for Downs.

GOALKEEPER: Denis Onyango - 8

A fairly quiet game in terms of going forward, but did well to keep Surprise Ralani under wraps.

RIGHT-BACK: Khuliso Mudau - 6

Solid and composed, Kekana barely put a foot wrong. One can see why he's keeping Rushine De Reuck and Ricardo Nascimento out of the team.

CENTRE-BACK: Grant Kekana - 7

The former Ajax man had a solid match on his return to Cape Town - reading the game well and breaking up several attacks to ensure that Onyango was rarely exposed.

CENTRE-BACK: Mosa Lebusa - 6

Downs' best player, he battled hard with Thami Mkhize and mainly came out on top. The athletic Zimbabwean was tenacious in defence and especially potent on attack, getting in a header and shot on goal and also supplying some quality balls for his teammates.

LEFT-BACK: Divine Lunga - 8

Wasn't at his usual influential best and was not able to really get the better of Bafana Bafana teammate and Cape Town City left-back Terrence Mashego.

RIGHT WING: Thapelo Morena - 5

Industrious and commanding, the veteran was in control of the engine room for much of the evening.

CENTRE-MID: Andile Jali - 7

Another former Ajax Cape Town player, Domingo was busting with energy all afternoon and seemed to cover the entire park - he got in a couple of efforts on goal including a superb free kick and also made one telling tackle in his own box.

CENTRE-MID: Haashim Domingo - 8

Tried hard to get involved and to offer himself for the ball, but it didn't happen for the Downs legend in the Mother City.

LEFT WING: Themba Zwane - 5

Had one promising moment in the first box but got the ball tangled under his feet. Also hit a shot over the bar in the second half, but looked a little off his best.

STRIKER: Thabiso Kutumela - 6

One of the Namibian's less influential matches this season, he found City's DR Congo defender Nathan Fasika a very tough opponent.

STRIKER: Peter Shalulile - 5

Came on after Lunga received a knock in the 77th minute. Did well to shore the Brazilians' defence as his former side tried to push for a winner in the closing stages.

SUBSTITUTE: Lyle Lakay - 6

As expected, the hard-man got stuck into some tackles after replacing Morena in the 77th minute and made a positive impact.

SUBSTITUTE: Mothobi Mvala - 6

Was introduced in the 87th minute for Kutumela and had a decent chance three minutes later to win the game, but fired a powerful shot from the edge of the box too close to the keeper.

SUBSTITUTE: Neo Maema - NA

A rare appearance for the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, though Maluleka wasn't able to get involved much after replacing Domingo in the 87th minute.
