First-Ever Knockouts Ultimate X Bout Announced For IMPACT Hard To Kill

History will be made at IMPACT Hard To Kill.

During IMPACT Turning Point, IMPACT Executive Scott D'Amore announced that the first-ever Knockouts Ultimate X bout will take place at IMPACT Hard to Kill on January 8.

The winner of the bout will be the number one contender for the IMPACT Knockouts Championship, which is currently held by Mickie James. James will defend her Knockouts Championship against Deonna Purrazzo at IMPACT Hard To Kill.

Competitors for the Knockouts Ultimate X bout were not announced.

Ultimate X is the signature match in the X Division with two cables crossing to form an X and the object hanging in the middle to be retrieved. Competitors must climb a scaffolding and then get across the cables to get the item.

The first Ultimate X match took place August 20, 2003 and featured Michael Shane, Chris Sabin, and Frankie Kazarian. The latest Ultimate X bout took place at IMPACT Slammiversary 2021 with Josh Alexander defending the X-Division Championship against Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Petey Williams, Rohit Raju, and Trey Miguel.
