Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have called it quits on their relationship after two years together.
Buddies since 2014, the musical sensations became an item five years later following their collaboration on the hit song 'Señorita'.
Posting a joint statement on Instagram this week, they informed fans of their split despite remaining close.

"Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. [heart emoji]
"We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward [three heart emojis] Camila and Shawn," it read.
It's nice to see some amicability out there.

Meanwhile, Cabello's Cinderella movie on Amazon Prime Video received a divided reception from the critics back in September.
"It's only been six years since the last major adaptation – why someone felt yet another was necessary is baffling. Throw in some dodgy editing choices, clunky dialogue, and wedged in songs that don't fit, and the whole thing falls flat," wrote Entertainment Daily.
IndieWire's more positive review stated: "[Kay] Cannon's take on Cinderella looks to be this year's Greatest Showman, where the flaws in the narrative are nothing in comparison to the vibrancy and energy on display with each and every musical number, worth dancing for, maybe even in a pair of glass slippers."
"A harmless confection (nothing more, nothing less) for the target audience and certainly Cabello fans, who get to see this charming performer branch out into new challenges, and meet them head on," decided Deadline.
