Jamie Carragher has singled out the Manchester United players for being a disgrace after today’s 4-1 defeat away to Watford in the Premier League.

The performance at Vicarage Road was tragic.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked defeated at the end as he apologised to the United fans – but they’ve all read far too many apologies on social media from his players this season. I can’t blame that few that were fed up after seeing the Reds get battered by a side we should be beating.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Carragher sounded disgusted at the performances that some of the United players were putting on display, going as far as to call it “disgrace” , live on air.

You can watch Carragher’s post-match assessment below, courtesy of Sky Sports:

The former Liverpool man is not excusing Solskjaer’s management either, but for the players to put in a display like that in front of their travelling fans is a disgrace and David de Gea was right annoyed at full-time. The Spaniard was the only player you couldn’t fault on the pitch.

Reports tonight suggest Solskjaer is on the brink after United officials held a meeting tonight to discuss his immediate future.

It could be a busy night.
