USC is still on the hunt for its new coach after Clay Helton was fired earlier this season.

One name that continues to be brought up in coaching rumors is Penn State’s James Franklin, who continues to deny those rumors.

After Saturday’s win over Rutgers, Franklin was asked about comments he made to the QB Club this week. He said he’d have more to say about the rumors during his Tuesday press conference:

“Like I’ve tried to tell you guys before, these things are a lot more complicated than simple yes or no answers,” he says. “With me, I’m just always trying to be as transparent as possible and tell you guys what I know and when I say something, it’s gonna happen. If we could wait until Tuesday, I’d appreciate it. But I also understand the question.”

Sounds like Franklin’s Tuesday press conference will serve to address some ongoing rumors. We’ll see what he says then.
