Vegas Golden Knights

Max Pacioretty remained out of the Golden Knights lineup against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday after the forward took line rushes at the morning skate.
It is the 16th game he has missed since sustaining a lower-body injury in a 6-2 loss at the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 14, the Golden Knights' second game of the season.
In addition to Pacioretty, the Golden Knights are without forwards Nolan Patrick (upper body), William Karlsson (foot) and defensemen Zach Whitecloud (hand) and Alec Martinez (facial laceration).
"Nice to have 'Patch' back," coach Peter DeBoer said after the morning skate. "We've got some players on the horizon here coming back. When the injuries started piling up four weeks ago, this seemed like a long time in the distance. It is nice and it is energizing to our group to see guys start to filter back into practice."

New York Islanders

Anthony Beauvillier, Adam Pelech and Andy Greene were placed in NHL COVID-19 protocol by the Islanders on Saturday.
Beauvillier, a forward, and Pelech and Greene, each a defenseman, join forwards
Josh Bailey
,
Anders Lee
and Ross Johnston in protocol.
None were available for the Islanders in their home opener against the Calgary Flames at UBS Arena.
"I think, without question, the morale has been exceptional," New York general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "As I said yesterday, this group is a special group. Adversity hits all of us, and sometimes more often than not makes us stronger. So their focus right now is on the game."
Forwards Richard Panik and Andy Andreoff, and defensemen Grant Hutton and Paul LaDue were recalled from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Panik has played 517 NHL games, Andreoff has played 179, LaDue has played 69, and Hutton has yet to make his NHL debut.
"Certainly with some young players coming in, there's some enthusiasm I'm sure within them," Lamoriello said. "They probably are not showing it outwardly, but I'm sure they're excited to play. They played well in Bridgeport, so we're excited to see them on this platform."-- Brian Compton

Columbus Blue Jackets

Max Domi returned to the lineup against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday.
The forward missed the previous six games while in NHL COVID-19 protocol.
Domi has scored four points (one goal, three assists) in four games this season. He missed four games earlier this season because of a fractured rib.
