Vieira heads to the octagon with a three-inch reach advantage over Tate. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist is looking to bounce back after a unanimous-decision setback to Yana Kunitskaya last time out Feb. 20. After starting her pro career 10-0, including 4-0 in her first four UFC fights, Vieira is 1-2 across the past three bouts.
Tate, a.k.a. "Cupcake", returned to the UFC with a third-round KO/TKO win over Marion Reneau on July 17. The 35-year-old is back and in a good mental space after taking time away from the octagon. She'll be looking to get this fight to the canvas where she can use her above-average wrestling. Tate leads 1.53-to-0.51 in submission average, one big advantage in her column in what are fairly identical career stats between the two fights.

TATE (-108) is the former champ, while Vieira (-116) is an up-and-comer and the future at this weight. But Tate knows how to pull out a close fight, and she will be able to do enough to wow the judges and get back on track for a title shot in her second go-around in the UFC.

TATE ON POINTS (+185) is your best bet for Method of Victory bet. She's a wily veteran who knows what it takes to win a close fight and do enough to get valuable points.
