Halo Infinite's co-op won't be launching until Season 2 but according to Joseph Staten, Head of Creative for Halo Infinite.
Halo fans were disappointed with the news that co-op will not be coming with Halo Infinite on launch but 343, the developers of the game, explained their decision, saying that they need more time to create a truly memorable co-op experience, which is certainly something that players should understand. A couple of more months of waiting is surely better than a broken and forgettable co-op with barebones features.
Anyway, while we wait for the official launch of Halo Infinite's campaign next month, Head of Creative for the game, Joseph Staten, has been interviewed by Eurogamer recently, where he offered a couple of new details about Halo Infinite's co-op.
According to Staten, co-op is on track to launch in Season 2 of Halo Infinite and it's currently in a playable state. He states that the team want to make co-op a truly great experience and not something that barely works.
"Well, the good news is that campaign co-op has been playable for some time. It's playable now. But the goal is we want it to be a great experience. We don't just want to ship a campaign co-op that barely works. We want to ship a campaign co-op that's stable, that's robust, that has the features players expect," Staten reassured fans.
Furthermore, he added that the co-op campaign is introducing new stuff that the team have not talked about just yet. This includes features that will make the meeting with friends in both the co-op campaign and multiplayer a much better experience.
"And we're also doing some other things that we haven't talked about yet to really make meeting up with your friends, and you're jumping into the game, good just not for the campaign, but even better for multiplayer, too."
