Musician Chris Daughtry’s late stepdaughter, Hannah Price, appeared to have a turbulent relationship with her boyfriend, Bobby Jolly, even as she struggled for direction in her own life, as evidenced by her social media and at least one recent encounter with the law.
Price — who was found dead in her Nashville home Nov. 12 — and Jolly, both 25, offered few public glimpses into their relationship, and when they did it was sometimes “ugly.”
Jolly posted a picture of himself on Instagram on Feb. 13, just before Valentine’s Day.
“Ugly,” Price snarked underneath the photo weeks later.
“F–k you,” Jolly responded. “How bout you hop your funky ass the f–k up off of my s–t”
Less than two months later, the two were arrested for allegedly firing a gun at another vehicle in what cops called a road rage incident, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Police found a .22-caliber weapon in the back seat of the car during the April encounter, authorities said. Price failed to show up to court to face charges in that case the week before her death, The Sun reported, citing a court clerk source. Jolly was busted the day of Price’s death for also failing to appear for his court date in connection to the road rage case, the outlet reported.
Jolly’s last Instagram post on June 26 shows a close-up photograph of a pile of marijuana and tabs of LSD .
“Gotta love my pals, Mary Jane and Lewis Scott Dean,” he wrote.
Police have said Price’s death was a homicide, and the local medical examiner said additional information about the cause will be released only to family members.
Authorities say Jolly is not a suspect in connection with her death.
“No one has been arrested pertaining to the death of Ms. Price,” the office of District Attorney General Jared Effler said last week. The office would not release any additional information about the case or Jolly’s status.
Still, some online have lashed out at Jolly.
“Monster,” someone posted under his picture on Instagram reads.
“Agreed,” says one Instagram comment “ugly AF.”
Meanwhile, Price’s social media appears to paint a complicated picture of other relationships in her life, including with her stepdad Daughtry, who is married to Price’s mother, Deanna Daughtry.
Her Facebook page displays the nickname Ziggy and declares that her last name is pronounced DAW-tree. However, there is no indication Price ever took her celebrity stepfather’s name, and there appears to be zero interaction between the two on Price’s social media outlets.
She displayed an interest in the occult in several social posts, including a bloody image of “The Last Supper” with a devil in place of Jesus; frequented cemeteries; and went by the name AmericanGoth on Instagram.
“We stayed up all night doing Tarot readings throwing runes and reading books together,” she wrote on Facebook in June 2019, while living on what she called a “hippie commune” in rural Tennessee.
“I’ll put you in touch with folks. I come from witches,” one friend responded. “Be safe with where you go with this until we can talk more. There are demons … They are just lost souls.”
Price reportedly had a history of gang involvement. She was shot in the face in 2018 during an incident reportedly involving a Crips initiation, and posted images of her gruesome wounds on Facebook. She was fitted with a prosthetic eye after the shooting. Her father, Randall Scott Price, committed suicide the same year.
“She was loved more than you’ll ever know,” one of Price’s friends said in an email to The Post. “News will come out when we are ready.”
