Song Hye Kyo Sheds A Tear During A Lonely Meal In "Now We Are Breaking Up"

SBS’s “Now We Are Breaking Up” has released new stills of Song Hye Kyo ahead of the upcoming episode.

“Now We Are Breaking Up” is a romance drama about love and breakups set against the backdrop of the fashion industry. Song Hye Kyo stars as Ha Young Eun, a fashion designer with a firmly realistic outlook on life, and Jang Ki Yong stars as Yoon Jae Guk, an intelligent freelance photographer who changes her mind about love.

In the previous episode, Yoon Jae Guk revealed to Ha Young Eun that his older brother, Yoon Soo Wan (Shin Dong Wook), died 10 years ago. For 10 years, Ha Young Eun had suffered over his absence without knowing that he had died, but now Yoon Jae Guk finds himself falling for Ha Young Eun instead.

In newly released stills for episode 4, Ha Young Eun sits at an ordinary restaurant, having a meal by herself. Although she tries to contain her emotions and picks up her chopsticks to eat, she can’t help shedding a few tears as she gets lost in her feelings and memories. Is she crying over Yoon Soo Wan, who vanished from her life 10 years ago, or Yoon Jae Guk, who stands before her now?

The stills also demonstrate Song Hye Kyo’s ability to portray a character who doesn’t show emotion easily but whose feelings overwhelm her to the point of tears. The production staff praised her focus and expression and said, “We realized why people call her ‘the queen of tears.'”

This episode will air on November 20 at 10 p.m. KST.
