There will not be a change at quarterback this Sunday.

The Cleveland Browns will apparently be starting quarterback Baker Mayfield this Sunday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media Friday that Mayfield will start even though the injuries he has sustained seem to grow week by week.

This season has not gone well for Baker Mayfield, Mayfield has played poorly for the overwhelming majority of the season and has limited what this Browns offense is capable of. Opposing defenses have been selling out to stop the run in an effort to make Cleveland beat them through the air. Three of the last four games have seen Mayfield been largely ineffective when facing these stacked fronts, resulting in disappointing performances.

While the alternative, Case Keenum, is not a flashy option, he is uninjured and is capable of operating the offense in a smoother manner. The fact the Browns are starting Baker Mayfield against an 0-8-1 Lions team is confusing to say the least. Keenum is more than capable of executing the offense enough to come out with a win to give Mayfield a break for a week.
