Shoe Store Moves Locations, Still Experiencing Some Pandemic Related Inventory Shortages

DULUTH, Minn. — Long-time Duluth shoe store Austin Jarrow has moved into a larger location.

The owner says inventory shortages are following, due to the nationwide supply chain backlog.

After spending 17 years at their previous location in the Stone Ridge Shopping Center along center entrance.

Owner Jarrow Wahman says they needed more space to put all of their products.

Along with that he says, the running shoe store has been experiencing the same supply chain shortages plaguing other industries.

As the holiday season approaches, he says what you see is what you get.

“We’re used to being able to give people choices like if they didn’t like a certain color of a shoe we would look up a different color and order it. But right now that just isn’t an option. I’m seeing more and more customers who are just happy to see anything resembling what we are looking for and taking what we have,” Austin Jarrow Owner, Jarrow Wahman says.

Austin Jarrow has been in business in the Twin Ports for 38 years.
