The American Truck Simulator Montana DLC has been announced, and new details have been revealed about Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator Update 1.43.
American Truck Simulator has gradually been moving eastward with its DLC announcements. The base game kicks things off with scaled-down versions of California, Nevada, and Arizona, and the devs at SCS Software have been expanding with the addition of new states and the launch of the multiplayer open beta earlier this year. Now, it's time to get ready to head to Montana!
American Truck Simulator Montana DLC Mountain Roads and Big Sky
As the name implies, the American Truck Simulator Montana DLC will take players to Montana -- a state that is notably large in physical area but small in population -- it has a population of 1.08 million and a population density of only 6.86 people per square mile.
That's a lot of open space and it's reflected in the screenshots revealed in today's blog post from SCS Software, showing that Montana does indeed live up to its nickname "Big Sky." There are plenty of paved roads and open areas, but the real appeal for players will be tackling the dirt roads in the mountains (and all the challenges that will entail).
It should be noted, as always, that these screenshots are a work in progress and anything can change on the road to release. For now, you can add the American Truck Simulator Montana DLC to your wishlist on Steam. We're not done yet, though -- SCS Software also has more details on the next update.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator Update 1.43 Details Dumper Trailers
In addition to the Montana DLC, SCS Software has revealed details about Euro Truck Simulator Update 1.43 and American Truck Simulator Update 1.43.
Starting with this update, players will be able to purchase "dumper trailers" -- a special kind of trailer that is typically used for carrying loose material such as gravel, grain, or sand. There are quite a few options available to players as shown in today's Steam Community announcement, all of which will have several customization options.
