CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This holiday season, don’t stress over shipping delays or supply chain issues when you can shop local and support your favorite Charlotte-area businesses while you’re taking care of your Christmas list.

The holidays will be a critical time for small businesses, especially those hit hard by the pandemic.

Here are a few gift ideas and a guide of places where you can shop local for the holidays:

Blumenthal Performing Arts - For someone who prefers memorable experiences more than material stuff, consider tickets to a show at Blumenthal Performing Arts. There’s something for everyone, including the much-anticipated return of “Hamilton.” Other shows to consider include “An Officer and A Gentleman” playing Dec. 7-12 at Ovens Auditorium and “The Hip Hop Nutcracker” playing Dec. 27-28 at Knight Theater.
