The Montreal Canadiens announced on Friday afternoon that general manager Marc Bergevin has tested positive for COVID-19. The team released a statement via their Twitter account.
"Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin was confirmed positive for COVID-19 this morning.
He is being monitored by the Canadiens medical staff and will follow the protocols set forth by the National Hockey League and the public health authorities." the statement read.
Bergevin will have to be away from the team for a minimum of ten days and have to test negative before returning to the team's practice facility, offices, or the Bell Centre.
