Noah Syndergaard bodies Mike Francesa for pro-Mets take

Noah Syndergaard didn’t even remotely hold back as he sounded off on Mike Fancesa for his Tweet supporting the New York Mets on Friday.

The split between Noah Syndergaard and the New York Mets has found yet another way to be weirdly entertaining for everyone on the outside looking in. Mike Francesa is learning the hard way that Syndergaard is both a phenomenal pitcher and a ruthless tweeter.

Francesa took a shot at Syndergaard’s injury history, which has limited his ability to play in recent seasons. According to Francesa, the Mets are somehow better off without having one of the most talented pitchers MLB has to offer.

Syndergaard apparently caught wind of the unnecessary tweet and sounded off with a pretty strong tweet of his own.

Syndergaard has a lot to prove this season.

He also has a ton of upside and potential, so there are plenty of reasons to believe Syndergaard can step up this year. It really wasn’t that long ago that he was having stellar seasons for the Mets, including when he threw two complete games in 2018 and then another in 2019.

For his career, Syndergaard has a 3.32 ERA and 777 strikeouts through 718 innings pitched. The 29-year-old pitcher could have some strong years ahead of him.

Due to injuries and recovery time, he hasn’t been able to play much over the past couple of seasons. Now that he’s with the Los Angeles Angels, Syndergaard have a chance to potentially help Los Angeles make it back to the postseason in 2022.

But there’s a lot that could impact that beyond what Syndergaard can control.

Still, if he has a strong showing this year, he’ll potentially reestablish himself as one of the best pitchers in the big leagues. And if he does that on the deal he’s on, he’ll be considered a pretty great value going forward.
