One of the most touted prospects in college football is coming to the NFL. Matt Corral, the star quarterback of Ole Miss, has announced his intention to join the 2022 NFL Draft, skipping his redshirt senior year. Corral posted a heartfelt letter on his Twitter account, saying that the Rebels' home game against Vanderbilt will be his last game.

Here's Corral's letter in full, wherein he thanks everyone in Ole Miss (including coach Lane Kiffin, who publicly called him a first-round NFL pick) who has helped him further his career.

Corral signed with the famed Ole Miss program back in 2018, where he was the 68th ranked prospect in the country. This year, Corral and the Rebels have been on a tear, as they are poised to be the first team in the university's storied history to win more than ten games in the regular season. Corral himself has been on a tear, boasting a 67% completion rate while throwing for over 2000 yards and 17 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions. This performance from the Ole Miss QB has him squarely in contention for the Heisman Trophy.

Matt Corral will enter a 2022 NFL draft that is projected to have a weak quarterback class. Other notable quarterbacks who are projected to declare for the draft are North Carolina's Sam Howell, Nevada's Carson Strong, and Liberty's Malik Wallis. Bottom-feeding teams in the NFL are surely looking at Corral's decision with bated breath, as teams will be eager to give this young Ole Miss product a go.

In the meantime, though, Corral and the Rebels will look to take of business against Vanderbilt. The Ole Miss quarterback will want to put on one final show for his home crowd.
