BLACKPINK Jennie, BTS Enter Highest-Paid CF Models Among Celebrities in 2021

How much do most in-demand stars in the advertising industry earn in a year? On its latest episode, KBS's "All Year Live" revealed the Korean celebrities that earned the most as CF models, such as BLACKPINK Jennie and BTS!

KBS 2TV's "All Year Live," which aired on the afternoon of November 19, unveiled the "Korean Stars Who Earned the Most Advertising Fee This Year" chart.

In particular, the best advertising star of 2021 was BTS. Along with the group, BLACKPINK Jennie also entered the list.

How much does global superstar BTS earn in a year with just advertisement alone? In the rankings, BTS topped the chart.

In particular, the septet previously signed an advertising contract with popular fast-food company McDonald's, through BTS Meal served not only in Korea but overseas. It is known that they sold collaboration sets to 50 countries and received about 10 billion won in advertising fees, drawing attention.

According to an industry official, BTS advertising worth per brand is about 5 billion won per year.

There are 11 brands that the teamwork as a model for, making it a total of 55 billion won. If you add the 10 billion they earned from the fast-food company, BTS's advertising revenue in 2021 is estimated to be about 65 billion won (~54.5 million USD~), not to mention that it excludes their revenue from their music and properties.

Meanwhile, another K-pop star dominated the global advertising industry. It is BLACKPINK Jennie, who ranked sixth with an estimated profit of 5 billion won in a year for her CF deals.

The female idol debuted in 2016, and in five years, Jennie has become an icon for women around the world.

She is known as the global ambassador for luxury brand Chanel, who recently starred in the new Coco Crush campaign.

Jennie also flaunts her elegance and incredible body proportion with Calvin Klein who selected her as a model for their previous campaigns.

In fact, her photos decorate the middle of New York's streets, proving her tremendous influence.

On the other hand, in that chart, the names of top stars in the entertainment field were also listed. Following BTS is Jun Ji Hyun, while Park Seo Joon ranked in 3rd.

Jo Jung Suk ranked 4th, and Son Heung Min placed 5th. BLACKPINK Jennie, Young Woong Lim and Youn Yuh Jung ranked sixth to eighth, respectively.
