The Past Within Trailer Showcases Asynchronous Point And Click Multiplayer

The Past Within's latest cinematic trailer showcases a couple of people working together in tandem to solve the game's puzzles.

Developer Rusty Lake has just released a new trailer for its upcoming point-and-click adventure game The Past Within. Check out the trailer below.

The Past Within is an asymmetrical multiplayer spin on the point-and-click formula, and sees players peeling off the layers around a mystery surrounding what seems to be a peculiar house. Players will have to communicate with each other and work in tandem to overcome the game’s many obstacles, which certainly sounds fascinating. An ominous spooky vibe seems to be ever-present throughout the experience, which has us curious about what’s in store in the game.

All of it is rendered in a rather simplistic art style, which gives it a distinct look. The developer has had previous experience with the point-and-click genre, so it should be interesting to see how The Past Within pans out.

The Past Within releases sometime in Q2 2022 for PC (via both Steam and Itch.io), Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
