Labanc suspended for slew footing Bozak

NEW YORK --San Jose Sharks forward Kevin Labanc has been suspended for one game, without pay, for slew-footing St. Louis Blues forward Tyler Bozak during NHL Game No. 253 in St. Louis on Thursday, Nov. 18, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 8:57 of the first period. Labanc was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Labanc will forfeit $23,625.00. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
