Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Amy Wyatt was left shaken after she became the victim of a hit-and-run attempt in Friday's episode (November 19).

Amy had already been targeted by the henchmen of her mother Kerry's employer, Chloe's dad, who has turned out to be a dangerous man.

Kerry went to her daughter's house to say goodbye before skipping town with Chloe after the girl's home situation became clear. Amy's reception wasn't the warmest, as she hasn't seen her mum in 18 months and only just she found out that during this time she was living and working only a few miles down the road.

Kerry quickly found out that Amy's home was trashed the night before, and while Amy assumed it must have been Meena's doing, Kerry was sure her actions have now endangered her daughter too and begged her to leave with her.

Amy, however, was not impressed by her mum's explanation and refused to leave her son Kyle behind, since Kerry thought he would be safer with his dad.

Later though, as she was headed to pick up her son, Amy became the victim of Kerry's boss latest scare tactic as a black 4x4 almost ran her over, but she dodged it by jumping in the bushes by the side of the road.

Immediately heading back to ask her mum for an explanation, Amy found Kerry as she was about to leave. Hearing about what happened, Kerry urged Amy once again to skip town with her and Chloe, but Amy was suspicious about why her mum was getting involved with a stranger's kid.

Even after Kerry explained why she was helping Chloe escape from her dad, Amy was doubting Kerry's motives. Amy blamed her mum for being more preoccupied with Chloe's situation than the fact that by helping the girl, Kerry is putting her own daughter and grandson in danger.

"She [Chloe] clearly means more to you than me or your grandson," said Amy. "You're my mother. Fine, you've made your choice. I'm done."
