Earlier in 2021, the Kansas City Chiefs made headlines after Andy Reid's son was involved in a car crash. During that incident, a young girl, Ariel Young was injured by Britt Reid. Months later, Kansas City has finally done something about the accident.

According to Ari Meirov, “the Chiefs have reached an agreement to provide world-class medical care and long-term financial stability for Ariel Young.” This is the appropriate move by Kansas City in their attempt to make up for a horrific accident.

In the statement, “the Chiefs and Ariel's attorney, Tom Porto, announce that the parties have finalized a comprehensive care plan that provides Ariel with world-class medical care and long-term financial stability.” It's been a long and grueling process for the family, but it seems they're receiving everything they need to take care of the young girl.

As for Britt Reid, he has finally been given an official date for a trial. According to Shannon Becker, Reid “will appear before judges on April 18, 2022.”

Andy Reid's son is currently charged with drunk driving. He could face other charges as time goes on, as there are still investigations going on Britt Reid. The Kansas City Chiefs fired Britt Reid shortly after the initial car crash. Since then, the franchise has been working closely with Ariel Young's family and attorney.

We'll see what happens to Britt Reid, but it's likely his career as a football coach is finished. The Chiefs move on as they help Ariel for the rest of her life.
