'And Just Like That...' showrunner hints at 'possible' second season

And Just Like That... might not be a limited series.

It was confirmed in January that Sex and the City was getting a limited revival series titled And Just Like That... at HBO Max, and before the first two episodes premiere Dec. 9, showrunner Michael Patrick King is leaving the door open for a second season.

"The real reason I wanted to do this again is because I felt strongly that there was a new story to tell," King shared in a forthcoming interview with Emmy Magazine, revealed early by E! News

Specific to a second season, King said, "I don't know. As we were working, it always felt like the beginning. It didn't feel like a beginning, middle and an end. So I think it's possible to keep going—if we have enough good stories."

The official logline explains And Just Like That... "will follow Carrie [Sarah Jessica Parker], Miranda [Cynthia Nixon] and Charlotte [Kristin Davis] as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s."
