Tom Holland Teases a Unique Style of Fighting in SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME That Will Shock Fans

Marvel fans were blown away by that Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer that was released earlier this week. That thing was filled with all kinds of cool footage, and while I’m excited to see how this next chapter of Spider-Man’s story play out, there is also going to be some awesome action and fight scenes to get pumped up about.

Tom Holland recently teased the fight scenes in the film saying that they will shock fans because they are unlike any style of fighting that we’ve seen before. He shared:

"You're going to see a style of fighting like you've never seen in a Spider-Man movie before, and that was down to our stunt coordinator George Cottle. They designed these fights to shock you guys, to really put you on your back feet. And when we were shooting this one scene in particular, it's like this, I reckon a 35-beat fight scene between myself and one of the villains, and we shot it over and over and over again over three or four days, and I remember my knuckles were all bloody and I was knackered and we were fighting and fighting. In all fairness, it was awful, it was such a difficult time, but in the film, it's so spectacular and it is so overwhelming and you've never seen Peter Parker quite like it. I'm really excited to see what you guys think.”

I can’t wait to see what exactly he’s talking about here. It’ll be nice to see some fun and unique fight sequences in the movie. I hope that new fighting style lives up to the hype that Holland is presenting.

The sequel sees Tom Holland’s Peter Parker team up with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange as they find themselves in an adventure the cracks open the multiverse after Peter asks Strange to make people forget that he’s Spider-Man. Here’s the synopsis:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

The movie will also see Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, and then there’s Sandman and Lizard. The cast also includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17, 2021.
