This has been a season of change for Celtic ever since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. The club have slowly but surely improved over the past few months, and now, it looks like they are in a good position and could possibly make a Scottish Premiership title challenge. But still, more changes are needed at Parkhead, and this January transfer window provides them a great opportunity to do that.

Signings are expected to be made, with the Celtic squad needing more depth at the moment. As a result, players like Daizen Maeda, Aaron Mooy, Fernando Henrique, Reo Hatate and a few others are being linked with the club.

But some players, who have not made their mark at Parkhead, could be headed for the exit door as well. And one of them could be Albian Ajeti.

As reported by the Scottish Daily Mail [19/11 print edition, back page] (via 67 Hail Hail), Ajeti looks set for a January exit, even though he could be included in the upcoming matchday squads due to Giorgos Giakoumakis being injured.

Ajeti could be headed for Celtic exit in January

There had already been rumours about Ajeti potentially leaving the club and now, it looks like they are only growing.

It was in the summer of 2020 that Celtic had signed Ajeti from West Ham United and he was one of the last big signings under the management of Neil Lennon.

It is safe to say that things have not gone as most would have expected for the Swiss striker, who was signed for a transfer fee believed to be around £5 million. He did make a great start to life at Parkhead but picked up an injury early on in the campaign.

After that, he was never able to rediscover that early season form and it looks like he could be headed for the Parkhead exit soon.
