LANSING, MI — During a COVID-19 update, the Michigan Department of Health and Human services announced Friday it is issuing a face mask advisory. Authorities are asking everyone over the age of two to wear a mask at indoor gatherings regardless of vaccination status.
The department is also suggesting for all establishments to ask everyone to wear a mask upon entering the establishment. The Department of Health and Human services did not put an end date to this advisory, and is asking for residents to do their part and mask up.
Michigan continues to be a COVID-19 hotspot with 14-thousand-561 new cases Tuesday and Wednesday this week, according to the latest data available. The Department of Health and Human Services says the cases bring the pandemic total to one-million-224-thousand-273. There were 242 deaths for the two days for a total of 23-thousand-104.
