Obviously, Serena and Venus Williams are two of the best athletes of all time. But back in the late ’80s and early ’90s, their father was the only one who believed that. Richard Williams was so committed to helping the sisters become stars that he says before they were even born, he wrote a 78-page plan for how his daughters would become tennis greats. Now Richard’s story is told in the movie King Richard, which stars Will Smith and Aunjanue Ellis. The movie tallied up a total of six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Will, and Best Supporting Actress for Aunjanue, so it’s safe to say this movie should go on your watch list ASAP.

Of course, the movie also features young versions of Serena and Venus, who are played by Demi Singleton and Saniyya Sidney, respectively. Plus, Venus and Serena served as executive producers on the film.

“There’s never a moment where we win Wimbledon—spoiler alert—in this film,” Venus told Variety. “Or a U.S. Open or a gold medal or anything that has happened. But it’s an origin story of how a family actually succeeded. I’m so proud that it’s being told this way.”
