The estimated net worth of Cam Newton in 2021 is $75 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Newton was born in Atlanta, Georgia where he was a five-star recruit after playing football for Westlake High School. He received numerous scholarship offers from various NCAA programs but chose to attend the University of Florida.

Cam played for two seasons with the Gators. Unfortunately, his sophomore year was shortened due to an ankle injury that forced him to sit out the rest of the season. On November 21, 2008, Newton was arrested for stealing a laptop from another University of Florida student. All the charges were eventually dropped after he completed a court-approved pre-trial diversion program.

In January 2009, Newton transferred to Blinn College in Brenham, Texas where he led his team to the 2009 NJCAA National Football Championship. He was once again highly recruited after his stint with Blinn College. Cam eventually joined Auburn University for his final season of eligibility in college football.

Cam Newton finished his college career strong as he led the Auburn Tigers to a BCS National Championship after defeating the Oregon Ducks 22-19. After his championship season, Newton received numerous awards such as the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award, Davey O’Brien Award, Manning Award, and the 2010 AP College Football Player of the Year.

The Carolina Panthers selected Cam Newton as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year $22 million rookie contract with the Panthers. In his debut game, Newton became the rookie to throw 400+ yards in his first career game — beating Peyton Manning’s rookie record for most passing yards on opening day.

Newton’s 21 passing touchdowns and 14 rushing touchdowns during his rookie year was enough for him to be named to the 2011 Pro Bowl. He was also awarded the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year and AP Offensive Rookie of the Year while being named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

Cam Newton continued to play well for the Panthers. In 2015, he signed a lucrative five-year $103.8 million contract extension to stay at Carolina — and that season proved to be his best one.

Newton led the Carolina Panthers to a franchise-best 15-1 record en route to defeating the Arizona Cardinals, 49-15, in the NFC Championship to book their ticket to face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. Unfortunately, the Panthers failed to overcome the Broncos as they lost 24-10.

Despite the Super Bowl loss, Cam Newton was named 2015 NFL Offensive Player of the Year and the NFL Most Valuable Player. He was also awarded the Bert Bell Award that same year.

After his MVP season, Newton and the Panthers failed to replicate the success of their 2015 season. Aside from that, Cam suffered nagging injuries that limited his action on the field, especially during the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

On March 17, 2020, the Panthers announced that they have permitted Newton to seek a trade. Unfortunately, they failed to find a trade partner which is why they released their prized quarterback on March 24.

On June 28, 2020, Newton signed a one-year $1.75 million contract with the New England Patriots. He was considered as the successor for Tom Brady who left the team in free agency to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He played incredibly well for the Patriots during his first year with the team, which is why New England re-signed him to a one-year $5.1 million contract extension. Newton would be competing with 2021 first-round draft pick Mac Jones as the primary quarterback.

Unfortunately, Newton was cut from the New England Patriots roster after their final preseason game. He spoke on his shocking release a few days after.

“Can we be honest? The reason why they released me is because indirectly I was going to be a distraction, without being the starter. Just my aura. That’s my gift and my curse.” Newton said.

In his 10 years in the NFL,  Cam Newton has earned $125,445,071 in his career, according to Spotrac.

Cam Newton has a lot of endorsements under his name. The most notable ones are with Gatorade and Under Armour, the brands that he worked closely with. He signed a deal with Gatorade in 2012 where it is reported that he will earn $1 million per year. For his Under Armour deal, it is reported he $12  million from the brand, which includes a royalty for every pair of cleats sold.

Aside from his endorsements, Newton also has a number of business ventures. Most recently, he launched his own cigar lounge named “Fellaship” near the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Downtown, Atlanta.

In 2016, Newton joined athletes and celebrities that bought the Ultimate Fighting Championship for $4 billion. Included in the list of celebrities and athletes are Adam Levine, Mark Wahlberg, Maria Sharapova, Venus and Serena Williams, and fellow NFL quarterback Tom Brady.

Despite not having a team since his release from the Patriots, Cam Newton still has a lot to offer and teams should definitely take a look at him. He can still be a major factor as a dual-threat quarterback for many NFL teams, and it surely won’t be long until we see him on the field again.
