Let me guess... Little Eve is trapped in her bedroom and Al braves the fire to rescue her? Chas is so grateful she falls into his arms?

Or does the little mite succomb, grief drives Chas and Paddy apart and she etc etc(Yawn) .

If they're planning a fire, why have all this drama with Al taking over the pub?

Al has never wanted the pub, he wants the land not the pub.

But we all know eventually the Woolpack will out last him

If either Chas, Marlon or Paddy had a brain cell between them Al would have been found out

    Well he has
left the show already, so it's not beyond the realms...
When do they film the Christmas eps?

They would have filmed Christmas a few weeks back. What they are filming now, I’m guessing we will see LateJan/EarlyFeb

he said in the interview a few days ago that he had already left... So might have been a few weeks ago. And we might be seeing his exit starting now? with Ben's looking for a job as a red herring/possible exit for Danny too...

It you enjoy the current style of plotty stories, with disposable undercharacterised characters brought in for specific (usually ludicrous) plots and then disposed of, with no character development, no history, and little sense of continuity, other than the sets and scenery, then it would, indeed, be a Christmas present! :)

So it’s only those things if a Dingle dies. Hmmm

I don't think so either unfortunately. Miller will want the safety net of the possibility to come back again.

No doubt the day after a pop up Woolpack will open that’s what normally happens

No at all. But the Dingles are amongst some of the best characterised characters in the show, though there are others. Under the current regime, stories have become more and more plot based and there have been ever more short term throw away undercharacterised characters brought in to service them. As long as there are still enough well characterised characters with history in the show, then there is hope that things can be turned around under a new regime, in the future. If, however, you wish away many of the better characterised characters with history, purely on the basis of their name, then the chances of recovery are diminished. There will be insufficient well characterised characters with history to carry the show forwards with character based stories.

I don't think so either unfortunately. Miller will want the safety net of the possibility to come back again.

Personally, I do not expect Danny Miller to return to the show. I suspect that he's decided to take a new direction.

It was ITV who wanted him back last time, pitching the historic child abuse story to tempt him back. Something tells me that he left the show on better terms last time than this.

What’s the betting he will turn up in Coronation Street or Hollyoaks before 2022 is out ?

Well, good luck to him if he does. But I suspect that he's looking to change direction, perhaps into directing.

He must be on good terms with ITV for him to be doing the jungle

It could be a good exit for Aaron. We could see the flames charring his tear stained face whilst he shouts for mumsy-wumsy.

Aaron - mummy, help me ! I'm on fire !

    Chas - where's Aaron ? I haven't seen him for a while.

Aaron - aaaarrrggghhhhh .... I want my mummy. It's too hot in here. I'm going to die without my mummy.

Chas - hey Al, how about a three hour sex session on top of the hayricks in the barn

Al - sounds great to me

Aaron - mummy !! mummy, I love you. I don't want to die. Nobody loves me. Nobody cares if I die. Help me. Mumsy-wumsy, where are you !!!!

Chas - oh yes ..... aaaaahhh yes ..... oh God, oh God ..... Al, you're so big ...... uhh uhh uhh uhh ...........

Al - did you hear something ? I thought I heard Aaaron's whiny little voice.

Chas - who cares about that big Cry Baby. Come on Big Boy ...... let me have it ...... uhh uhh aah uhhh aaahhhh yes.... oh God .... yes

Aaron - the Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want, he lays me down in green pastures ............................. ***

(*** Wicker Man reference for those so inclined)

Well, that's all fine and dandy, except for

    a) Aaron has always spent his time running away from his Mother and doing his best to keep her out of his business, rather than running to her

    &

    b) All the indicators are that Aaron will be gone well before the Woolie fire.

There's no place for a well characterised character with plenty of history, a character like Aaron, in today's Emmerdale, which is all about short term sensational plots serviced by short term throw away undercharacterised characters, who can just be jettisoned, once the plot is finished, to make way for the next batch of such characters, for the next plot. It's the easy way out for the show, the storyliners & writers.

Personally, I'm quite resigned to the character's departure. Indeed, it's been coming for some time now. Better that he leaves now, than be completely destroyed by the current regime.

But there are a whole bunch of actors who have been there 20-25 years
