The Detroit Pistons had to work hard to earn a win on Wednesday night, but they were able to do so, and look to win back-to-back games for the first time this season. However, it will not be easy, as they welcome Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors to town on Friday night.
Detroit got out in front early in their matchup with the Indiana Pacers, leading 49-41 at half. However, a big third quarter from the Pacers tied the game up heading into the final quarter. That was when the Pistons rallied back to win their fourth game of the season by a final score of 97-89.
The win marked only the second for Detroit on home court. Five players hit double-digits in the win, four of which scoring over 15. Jerami Grant led the Pistons with 19 points, with Cory Joseph hitting some key shots in the game on his way to scoring 18 of the bench.
Now, Detroit gets to meet the hottest team in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have started the season with the best record in the league, coming into Friday night with a 12-2 record. They fell to the Charlotte Hornets last Sunday, snapping a seven-game losing streak. The all-time leader in three-pointers in NBA history, Steph Curry, leads Golden State’s attack, averaging 28.7 points-per-game.
