Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Sally Metcalfe is set to infuriate Maria Connor in an upcoming episode, as the pair continue to bicker over Weatherfield's council elections.
In recent weeks, the twosome have found themselves getting involved in local issues: Sally concentrating on the traffic congestion and how there are never enough parking spaces for residents, while Maria has been attempting to tackle the area's escalating air pollution.

Not so long ago, Maria even organised a rally with a bunch of other activists, after learning from Gary Windass (Mikey North) that the council was planning on bulldozing the playing fields at the Red Rec and building a new road in their place.
In scenes scheduled to air on Wednesday, November 24, Sally (Sally Dynevor) will be seen calling up Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Mary Taylor (Patti Claire) and suggesting that they organise a meeting about the Christmas Market, which is soon to be held on the street.
Later, Maria lets slip that a local councillor has resigned, which leads Mary to point out that Sally and the former will be locking horns earlier than expected, as both of them had previously expressed interest in becoming representatives.
