Friday, November 19th is "Have a Bad Day" Day and it was created for those that work in the customer service field. If you are like my daughters and work the register at Price Chopper or Aldis, before the customer would leave, you would tell them to "have a good day", even if they didn't earn it.

So today is the day to turn it around...sort of. It's a day to say that's it's okay to have a bad day because life is full of ups and downs. It's the way that we handle the bad days that make all the difference.

In 2021, it's easy to have a bad day, in fact, it may be harder to have a good day. Meat prices have gone up over 10% and gasoline 50% over the past year and it looks like it may stop any time too soon.

'Have A Bad Day' Day

We all are going to have bad days, so if we try to be cheery even if everything seems to be going sideways around us. We can also look out for anyone else who is having a bad day and give them a reassuring smile that it's normal.

When you help someone feel better, you'll feel better. Sometimes all it takes is a smile...which can be tough to see behind your mask. As the saying goes, "if it was easy then everyone would be doing it." So do what is hard and surprise yourself.

Be the difference for someone else and you'll be surprised at the difference it makes in you. Believe it or not, these bad days won't last forever, even if it feels like it at this time. In the words of Neil Cavuto, "There's nothing wrong about having a bad day. This is everything wrong with making others have it...with you.
